A bot with a LONG algorithm buys with the first coin of the trading pair and pays with the second coin of the trading pair. Therefore, for a bot with the LONG algorithm, the deposit (virtual wallet) must be in the second coin of the trading pair.
Consider the BTC-USDT trading pair. Here, the first coin of the trading pair is BTC, the second coin of the trading pair is USDT. The bot will first buy BTC for its existing USDT when the price of BTC falls, after which it will sell all the purchased BTC for USDT when the price of BTC rises. That is, in order for the bot to start trading (buying BTC), it needs to have USDT and this is the second coin in the trading pair. Thus, to create a bot with the LONG algorithm in the BTC-USDT trading pair, you need the bot to have a deposit (virtual wallet) in USDT.
