There are 3 different ways to create an API key for the OKX exchange:
1. FastAPI (a new way to quickly create an API).
2. Through the binding of third-party applications.
3. Create an API in the usual way.
1. FastAPI (a new way to quickly create an API):
This is the most convenient, fastest and safest way to generate API keys.
Access to API keys created using FastAPI will be allowed only from IP addresses of RevenueBOT (according to the whitelist ip principle), it will not be possible to use these API keys on other resources.
To use this feature, you need to on the add API key page, select the OKX exchange and click on the "OKX FastAPI connection" link, you will be redirected to your OKX account, where you will need to approve access. If you are not authorized on the exchange, then you will first need to log in, it is better to do this before creating an API key.
Next, APPROVE access to your account to create an access API.
After successful completion of the operation, you will receive the message "The key 'FastAPI key' has been successfully created" and you will be able to use the generated keys for the OKX Spot and OKX Futures exchange.
2. Creating an API key through binding third-party applications:
This is a safe way to create API keys, since access to API keys will only be allowed from RevenueBOT IP addresses (according to the whitelist ip principle), it will not be possible to use these API keys on other resources.
Go to the section 'API Keys'
Click the button 'Create API V5 Key'
Select "Link third-party applications" and find "RevenueBOT" there
Set the name of the key, specify the passphrase (it will be needed when adding the API key in the RevenueBot personal account) and check the box to allow trading
Confirm key creation
The key has been successfully created, copy the API Key and Secret Key
Add an API key in the format "Passphrase/API Key" and a Secret key in the RevenueBot personal account, menu API keys
Everything is ready, the API key can be used to trade RevenueBot bots on the OKX exchange.
3. Creating an API in the usual way:
Go to the section 'API Keys'
Click the button 'Create API V5 Key'
Select "API trading", set the name of the key, specify the passphrase (you will need it when adding the API key in your RevenueBot personal account) and check the box to allow trading
Confirm key creation
The key has been successfully created, copy the API key and Secret Key
